On Giving Form to Emotions

Emotions are invisible. They cannot be held, measured, or preserved in their original form. Yet they shape the way we remember, connect, and move through the world.

For me, creating is a way of giving those intangible experiences a physical presence. Not to define them, but to make them tangible enough to return to. Jewelry can become more than an ornament; it can become a quiet reminder of something we have lived, lost, discovered, or are still becoming.

That is why emotions become objects.

Artist Statement

MoodObjekt was born from a simple realization: some feelings are easier to shape than to explain.

I rarely begin with a sketch or a material. More often, the process starts with something that cannot be seen—a feeling, a memory, a contradiction, or a quiet state of mind that refuses to disappear.

I have never been interested in jewelry as decoration alone. To me, a ring, a pendant, or a brooch can carry an idea in the same way a small sculpture can. The titles are not labels added afterward. They are part of the work itself, inviting each person to find their own meaning.

My forms move freely between the organic and the geometric. I am less interested in symmetry than in balance, less interested in perfection than in presence. Every piece begins with an emotion and finds its own form, allowing intuition to shape what reason alone never could.

The body is more than a place for jewelry. It is where objects gather meaning. A piece changes as it is worn, absorbing memories, becoming part of everyday rituals, and quietly accompanying moments that shape a life. In this way, the work is never truly finished in the studio; it is completed through the relationship it forms with its wearer. 

I don’t expect my work to provide answers. If someone pauses for a moment, remembers something they had forgotten, or recognizes a feeling they could never quite name, then the piece has already fulfilled its purpose.

Because sometimes the things we carry on our bodies help us understand what we carry within.
